This section details the procedures for supporting people to maximise their independence in their lived environment. It covers procedures specific to identifying needs and risks that may be managed by equipment, adaptations or environmental changes, and the development and regaining of skills and ability through occupational therapy and re-enabling interventions.
This section provides information on:
- eligibility criteria;
- moving and handling;
- equipment and the Lincolnshire Community Equipment Service (LCES);
- telecare service.
Further information on best practice in identifying needs and risks, developing interventions and equipment prescribing practices to address them can be found in the Occupational Therapy Good Practice Guide (Lincolnshire County Council intranet). This is a live document that is currently being redesigned to incorporate national and local guidance.
